The Back Alley Gathering is an atypical mainline protestant Christian worship experience. With no set order of worship, it blurs casual and sacred conversation, and is quite experiential and interactive. Back Alley Gatherers celebrate diversity and creativity, allowing room for silent meditation and discussion (not shying away from life's tough questions), creating a safe place for ALL. Each week contains elements of adoration, confession, thanks-giving, and supplication--often in the form of music, poetry, video, alternative liturgies, and art. We offer coffeehouse style seating (couches & chairs), and prayer as artwork. All are welcome to participate in all parts of this intergenerational worship experience, including children. Equal Exchange coffee and tea are served each week. Ample parking is available. Really, this gathering is a family reunion (God's), and you and your loved ones are invited.
